Collaborators

Tanzir Tuhin

Tanzir Tuhin, a prominent musician, singer, songwriter, actor and architect, best known as the former lead-vocalist and founding member of the independent musical group ‘Shironamhin’. While many find academic studies to be a restriction in pursuing artistic practices, Tuhin considers architecture a major inspiration to his passion for music. “I think both architecture and music significantly deal with space and time. While, the former can be explained with inches and feet, the latter can articulate emotions,” says Tuhin. Ek Kodom is honored to have him as the space designer for the show.

Tanveer Alam Shawjeeb

Tanveer Shawjeeb, a singer, songwriter and composer, with a diploma in Nazrul Sangeet from BAFA and a bachelor’s degree in Sound Engineering from Toronto Film School in Canada, has created giant footsteps in the areas of composing title songs and background scores for TV plays and tele-films. His passion for classical and semi-classic sub continental music not only remains but also his style has gone through gradual metamorphosis. Shawjeeb has been “experimenting” with lyrics and tunes since the '90s. It's been fun to have him as the soundscape designer for this show.

Journey of “Ek Kodom to Dosh Kodom”

Journey of

“Ek Kodom to Dosh Kodom”

EK KODOM is the first of the ten steps to be taken by Platform in the celebration of Dhaka City.

This celebration of ten years is titled DOSH KODOM.

Each year from 2020 to 2029, an art show is to take place in an unconventional space, promoting 1 curator and 3 young artists from different medias.

The idea is to take the first step ourselves and then bring together different patronizers, curators and artists in further steps.

We are hoping to present our contemporary Dhaka through this initiative to national and global entities who are culturally curious, conscious and willing to contribute to our aesthetic and cultural growth.
